Three people suffered serious injuries early yesterday morning when scaffolding on a highway onramp near Chico, California collapsed. Miraculously, no fatalities occurred when thirty-six tons of steel crashed on top of the vehicles underneath. Three survivors suffered serious injuries, including multiple broken bones. One brave FedEx driver was trapped in his truck for more than three hours before rescuers arrived. OSHA is investigating the responsible construction company for possible safety violations.
